A MURDER TRIAL IS SET TO BEGIN IN HARDIN COUNTY TODAY (MONDAY). CHARLES ROBERSON JR IS SET TO GO BEFORE A JURY THIS MORNING. AS PREVIOUSLY REPORTED, ROBERSON WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY FOR THE SHOOTING DEATH OF XEDRIC MCNEIL IN FEBRUARY OF LAST YEAR. ACCORDING TO ARREST RECORDS, ROBERSON AND MCNEIL GOT INTO A VERBAL ALTERCATION AT A RESIDENCE ON DIECKS DRIVE. OFFICIALS SAY THE TWO WENT OUTSIDE WHERE THE ARGUMENT CONTINUED. ROBERSON ALLEGEDLY PULLED OUT A GUN SHOOTING MCNEIL AT LEAST ONCE IN THE CHEST. POLICE SAY ROBERSON THEN CONTINUED FIRING THE WEAPON AS MCNEIL ATTEMPTED TO RUN. ROBERSON FACES MURDER AND WANTON ENDANGERMENT CHARGES.  

THE KENTUCKY PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION WILL HOLD SEVERAL MEETINGS FOR THE PUBLIC TO PRESENT INFORMATION AND GET FEEDBACK ON REQUESTS FOR RATE INCREASES BY KU AND LG&E THE FIRST MEETING WILL BE IN LOUISVILLE ON FEBRUARY 21ST 5:30PM.

ICY ROAD CONDITIONS LAST WEEK CONTRIBUTED TO A FATAL CRASH IN HARDIN COUNTY.  KENTUCKY STATE POLICE SAY A PICKUP TRUCK DRIVEN BY 64 YEAR OLD DEBRA STEPHENS OF LEITCHFIELD CROSSED INTO THE MEDIAN OF THE WESTERN KENTUCKY PARKWAY AND INTO THE PATH OF A SEMI TRACTOR TRAILER ABOUT 8:45 FRIDAY MORNING.  STEPHENS WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE. THE DRIVER OF THE OF THE TRUCK WAS NOT INJURED. THE ROADWAY WAS SHUT DOWN DURING THE INVESTIGATION.
