An Elizabethtown man was arrested and charged with assaulting his father last week. The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office says, Brian Young went to his father’s house in White Mills Thursday afternoon to borrow a trailer when a verbal altercation happened. Young was charged with wanton endangerment and criminal mischief.

The Hardin County Chamber of Commerce has expanded their work ethic certification program to include more local schools. Their Golf Scramble for the program is May 24th at the Etown Country Club. Registration information is available at HardinChamber.com

The Larue County Middle School Is Partnering With The Larue County Public Library For Literacy Night, Tomorrow From 5p-m Until 7p-m. Several Student Groups from The School Like The Washing Dc Trip Folks, Beta, And Greenhouse Group Will Have Informative Booths That Recap The School Year For People To Come See. The Come And Go Visiting Is From 5 To 6:30 And From 6:30 To 7, The Library Will Be Advertising Their Summer Teen Programs.

Contract crews will be working along northbound I65 between mile points 91-98 beginning tonight. Traffic will be reduced to one lane between 7pm and 6am tomorrow. All work should be completed by 6am Wednesday.
